RIVA TROPHY

From 29th to 30th June 2024, in the splendid setting of the Côte d’Azur, the 15th edition of the prestigious Riva Trophy took place, a biennial meeting of modern and vintage Rivas racing from Monaco to Saint Tropez.
The event, held by the Monaco Boat Service of Madame Lia, daughter of the legendary Eng. Carlo Riva, organised a regularity race, day and evening social events, the Olympic theme elegance competition and the gala awards ceremony at the prestigious Yacht Club de Monaco.
After 37 days of rallying from Beijing to Paris, with my cameras still full of sand, I couldn’t wait to return to the waves of the Mediterranean and the sun of the Riviera, to pay homage once again with my photographs to the Queens of the Sea designed by Mr Riva, who will remain forever in my heart. For the first time in many years, however, puffy clouds, strong winds and tumultuous waves made the event a real challenge for seafaring men, and oilskins took the place of swim suites!
Never mind, with the Rivas it is always Dolce Vita!
